The Greene County Industrial Development Agency (GCIDA) in partnership with the Greene County Legislature, Greene County Office of Economic Development Tourism and Planning, and the Town of Catskill is seeking proposals from qualified Developers for the design, financing, construction, and operation of a hotel with associated amenities.

The GCIDA and Project partners intend to secure a Developer to construct and operate a hotel that will enhance the sales tax base, create employment, and provide critical resources in support of a historic and strong tourism economy in Greene County.

The GCIDA is also seeking Developer proposals for a restaurant development that can be an element of a hotel development proposal or a standalone development project. The Developer will own and operate the facility on a lot acquired from the GCIDA. The GCIDA will provide a “shovel ready” lot as well as construct necessary infrastructure improvements in support of the Developer’s needs.

The RFP process is intended to identify and provide an initial evaluation of potentially interested Developers. One or more Developers will be selected for further negotiations and
additional due diligence by the GCIDA.

The GCIDA will be assisted in the review and selection of a final Developer by a Project Team.
