Greene County Economic Profile
July 2021 — Greene County has been inspiring the nation for generations, from serving as the birthplace of the America’s first art movement, the Hudson River School, to attracting families to its mountain resorts and bustling village downtowns. Located in the Northern Catskill Mountains, the county is strategically positioned between New York City and Albany with easy access from Exit 21 of the New York Thruway (I/87).
Consolidated Funding Application (CFA)
The NYS Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) has been created to streamline and expedite the grant application process. The CFA process marks a fundamental shift in the way state resources are allocated, ensuring less bureaucracy and greater efficiency to fulfill local economic development needs.
Utilizing the CFA as the single entry point for access to economic development funding, applicants will no longer have to slowly navigate multiple agencies and sources without any mechanism for coordination. Economic development projects use the CFA as a support mechanism to access multiple state funding sources through one application, making the process quicker, easier, and more productive.
The CFA system is also the mechanism for Upstate Revitalization Initiative (URI) project sponsors to submit applications.
The Greene County Economic Development Corporation provides individualized assistance to local businesses seeking funding through NYS Grants and Programs. Interested business operators should register their project with the CFA program and then contact our team directly at 518-719-3290 or email business@discovergreene.com.
