Occupying the site of the former Greene County Jail, construction began on the new Justice Center located behind the historic Greene County Courthouse in the winter of 2024.  This new facility will include a parking garage, meeting and office space for services related to the Greene County Justice System.  The project is expected to be completed in 2025.

Facia Block Installed

The character of the building truly started to take shape with the installation of the facia block

Block Lift Installed

Once the steel frame was installed, a high-capacity lift was used to install the masonry for the exterior walls. Blocks are loaded from the ground level and elevated to the installation height required.

Exterior Sheathing

By February, wall framing and sheathing were installed to enclose the structure

Framing Work Continues

Throughout the winter months, steel beams were installed to support the floors, walls and roof.

Steel Framing Begins

With excavation complete and the footers in place, cranes moved in to set steel support framing in November.

Site Work Underway

In the Fall of 2024, site excavation began with footers and poured re-enforced concrete walls set in place.
